Plot[edit]

At the Krusty Krab, SpongeBob is reading the Krusty Krab Work Schedule book as Squidward gives him an order. He gets annoyed and asks what's special about the book, and in response, SpongeBob says it's his happy book. He asks if Squidward's ever had a happy memory, but he can't think of one, so he assumes he's never had one. When he goes to take someone's order, he starts crying in realization that it's horrible to not have a happiest memory.

SpongeBob tells him he'll make him a happiest memory, so the two go to a concert. They enjoy it at first, until one of the performers accidentally launches the bow for his violin onto Squidward's eye. The two then go to the Art Museum, where Squidward finds out his art is there. Unfortunately, Fiasco burns it, so they then go for a ride on a hot air balloon.

When SpongeBob releases Squidward's blindfold, he gets scared as he's afraid of heights. SpongeBob pops the balloon in order to fix this, but this causes the balloon to crash onto Mt. Bikini. A guy who had been climbing up the mountain realizes the two had already made it, so he gives his flag to them. SpongeBob says this could be his happiest memory, but it ends up not being so when he accidentally hits Squidward's foot with the flag and the snow brings them down the mountain.

Squidward slowly goes inside his house up to his bedroom after rolling down the mountain, and rolls under his bed in a blanket. Two weeks later, SpongeBob gets worried for his neighbor, so he tries to find him. After finding him still alive in his upstairs, he goes to his own house to call Squidward to see if cheer him up, only for him to throw his phone out of his house into SpongeBob's home.

SpongeBob then tries to use the fax machine to reach Squidward, but after doing so, he shreds him and throws his remains outside. Inside the house, Squidward tries to cheer himself up by pulling down his scallop, but it sprays a liquid on him as a result. He gets a box from the mailman, but when he opens it, there's nothing inside.

It turns out there was another box inside with SpongeBob beneath it to trap him and bring him to the Krusty Krab. There, he set up a party for him with many paper mâché versions of himself as guests. Squidward gets angry as he doesn't want a happiest memories, and starts destroying all the paper mâché SpongeBobs, leading to him calling this moment the happiest he's ever been.
