Squidward Tentacles is a six-legged turquoise octopus[1] and one of the main characters in the SpongeBob SquarePants franchise. He is the grouchy neighbor of SpongeBob and Patrick, and he lives between then in a dark blue Easter Island head. Squidward has a cynical, pessimistic, arrogant, and often snarky personality. He is more mature than his two neighbors. Squidward works at the Krusty Krab as a cashier, a job that he hates. Squidward views his talents differently than others, such as his ability to play clarinet, which he believes he is good at despite several instances of others disliking it.
Squidward dislikes SpongeBob and Patrick and finds them annoying because they often disturb him from leisure activities such as playing clarinet. Despite this, SpongeBob and Patrick are oblivious that Squidward dislikes them, and they often invite him to play with them. Squidward sometimes goes on misadventures with the two, usually against his will. He is voiced by Rodger Bumpass.

Squidward has a enemy Squilliam Fancyson that thinks he is better that Squidward and says he has fancy things and in Squiliam returns Squidward tries to impress Squillam but it turns out to be a total disaster because of Spongebob not remembering his name and acting weird after his brain is shown and it breaks in half and Squillam is shown in some episodes in the series and he is Squidward's HighSchool bully witch his first episode apearence is Band Geeks.
