'''"Atlantis SquarePantis"''' is the twelfth episode of [[season 5]], and it is a 44 minute special. In this episode, after [[SpongeBob]] and [[Patrick]] find the missing half of the [[Atlantean amulet]], the duo as well as [[Mr. Krabs]], [[Squidward]], [[Sandy]], and [[Plankton]] journey to [[Atlantis]].

==Plot==
SpongeBob is blowing bubbles so Patrick can take a picture of them, but they pop every time he takes a snap. They sing a song about how bubbles don’t last forever and then SpongeBob blows a really large bubble, only to get themselves stuck in it and float into a cave. There, they find a broken amulet which Patrick thinks belonged to SpongeBob’s ancient ancestors, so they take it to the [[Bikini Bottom Museum]] to find out what it is.

When they come in, they bump into Squidward painting. He thinks they are trying to steal the amulet, until he realizes it’s actually the missing half of the amulet. They find out that it belongs to the Atlanteans, who live in an extremely advanced society, and SpongeBob and Patrick find out they own the oldest living bubble.

Squidward connects the two halves of the amulet and comes down the [[Atlantean bus]], which SpongeBob, Patrick, Squidward, Mr. Krabs, Sandy, and Plankton use to get to [[Atlantis]]. It turns out there’s no fuel, so they move the bus to a gas station. However, it turns out the bus is fueled by song, so all the characters sing until they see Atlantis, only to crashland as they stopped singing.

When they get out of the bus, SpongeBob rings the bell, and Lord Royal Highness comes down and greets them. He shows them that they used to build weapons to defend themselves from invaders, but abandoned that idea and left them behind a locked door, which Plankton gets through, giving him access to the weapons.

LRH tours the group more when Mr. Krabs sniffs out what turns out to be a room filled with gold and other luxuries. He sings a song about how much he loves money and how all of the money is for him, and afterward, stays in the room while the rest check out more of Atlantis. They check out the science room, where they check out their cool technology, including an interactive video game, where the characters go in and inside, Sandy sings about science and afterward, stays at the science room while the rest continue going on the tour.

Meanwhile, Plankton sings about his choices of weaponry and how he can’t choose. The group checks out the art area, where Squidward sings about his love for art and stays there. SpongeBob asks LRH he and Patrick can see the oldest living bubble, so after telling them how important the bubble is to the Atlanteans, he leaves them with the bubble as he prepares tonight’s dinner.

They accidentally move glass ball containing the bubble out of position, but quickly get it back to where it’s supposed to be. Patrick takes a picture of them with the bubble, causing it to pop and make them shriek. Meanwhile, everyone comes to dinner, praising the greatness of Atlantis. SpongeBob and Patrick come over, extremely anxious, until Patrick yells out that they popped the bubble. It turns out that wasn’t the real bubble and LRH takes out the real one, only for Patrick to take a picture of it, causing it to pop. LRH sends a group of guards to seize them, but Sandy uses the others to defeat the guards and get outside the building, only for Plankton to have taken a tank out. He aims it at them but has trouble shooting them, and once he does, it turns out the tank shoots ice cream.

He gets out, when LRH notices him and uses him as a replacement for the oldest living bubble. They send the others back to the bus, while taking away the atlantean amulet and throwing it in the garbage so they can’t come back. SpongeBob is eager to get back to Bikini Bottom, while the others are upset about leaving Atlantis.
