Squidward is complaining about how he hates work, but no one listens except SpongeBob. He starts biting his nails while delivering an order to a customer, and it lands on several of the customers, making them terrified. Squidward tells him this is a bad habit, so SpongeBob goes home to fix his nail-biting problem.
He makes his hands beautiful, but he still bites his nails, so he goes outside for fresh air. Unfortunately, he still bites his nails, and soon after bites the nails of both Fred and Mrs. Puff. He encounters Patrick, who takes him to [[Glove World!|Glove World]] to fix his issue, but ends up biting the nails of the glove balloons.
They call Sandy for help, and she tries several methods to prevent SpongeBob from nail-biting at his nails, but those attempts prove futile. She brings him to a hypnotherapist, who reveals that SpongeBob thinks he's Squidward which is why he's biting his nails.
His problem is fixed after he snaps his nails, until the therapist is revealed to be Hans and SpongeBob starts biting his nails.
