Mr. Krabs

"There's a Sponge in My Soup" is the second segment of the third episode of season 11, and it is paired with "Spin the Bottle." In this episode, Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob have to get hippies out of the Krusty Krab's soup.

Characters[edit]

Plot[edit]

Mr. Krabs and SpongeBob are making Krabby Soup, until Mr. Krabs gets informed that there are hippies outside. He gets rid of them, but as he's clogging up the heat vent, the hippies go inside the restaurant and into the soup to stay warm. Meanwhile, SpongeBob is putting several ingredients in the soup, but realizes they seem to disappear whenever he puts them in, except for onions, which they throw away.

The soup is given to several customers, who complain about it to Squidward as there are hippies in them. He tries to dump the soup in the trash, but Mr. Krabs prevents him from doing so and puts the leftovers back in the original pot, only to realize the hippies were in the bowls. This makes him angry and ask for them to leave, but they protest.

He tries to lure them out with long hair, but instead of pulling out a hippy, the hair had just been braided. He then tries to lure them out using a little crocheted foot bag, but when they come to play, they kick it into the soup and play in there. The Krusty Krew then goes in a drum circle, luring the hippies and dancing to their music. However, their hands get extremely tired, so SpongeBob uses a toy monkey drummer, but the hippies hate its drumming and go back in the soup.

Mr. Krabs makes SpongeBob go inside the soup to remove the hippies, but in there, they show him the way of the hippy, turning him into one as well. When he gets picked up by Mr. Krabs, he realizes what he's become and puts him back in. SpongeBob sees Patrick down there and suddenly starts to find everything confusing, so he goes back up to get a Krabby Patty. However, the restaurant had closed down and Mr. Krabs has now become a hippy. SpongeBob becomes sad and asks if things can go back to the way things were before, and he accepts it. They find a new place for the hippies to stay, that being in Squidward's bathroom, much to his dismay.
