Patrick Star is the deuteragonist of the SpongeBob Square Pants franchise and the protagonist of The Patrick Star Show. He's a tubby pink sea star and best friend of SpongeBob. Patrick shares many things in common with SpongeBob like jellyfishing and blowing bubbles. They are both happy most of the time and try to make the best of situations. However, unlike SpongeBob, who isn't the smartest but still has a decent bit of intelligence, Patrick's intelligence ranges from slightly slow, to down right nonexistent. He lives under a rock on Conch Street, as one of SpongeBob's neighbors along with Squidward Tentacles, who usually expresses annoyance from SpongeBob and Patrick. Patrick is portrayed by Bill Fagerbakke.
Appearance[edit]
He is a pink starfish with green shorts with purple flowers on it, he has changed appearance in some episodes, most notably in Big Pink Loser where he changes his outfit to be similar to SpongeBobs. In The Patrick Star Show he wears a green shirt with light-green flowers and purple shorts.
Personality[edit]
Patrick is very stupid and non-intelligent, however he still tries to be a good friend to SpongeBob, espacially in the first season. Patrick has also been very arrogant believing he is smart, also he can be very annoying to Squidward and even SpongeBob at times.

Childhood[edit]
When Patrick was young he attended Kamp Koral. At first he would have no friends and be homesick, but he would meet SpongeBob and eventually they would go jellyfishing. Later, at the Annual Kamp Koral Talent Show both Patrick and SpongeBob would win the Talent show. However they would decide to give the award to Squidward since they felt bad, saying that an evaluating mistake and Squidward actually won the Award by a landslide.
