Thomas James Kenny is the voice actor for multiple characters in SpongeBob SquarePants. With the most notable being SpongeBob SquarePants, Gary, Patchy the Pirate, and the French Narrator. His favorite episode is Band Geeks.[1]

Outside of SpongeBob SquarePants Tom is a voice actor of many characters of many other shows including the "Ice King" in Adventure Time and Adventure Time: Distant Lands, "Dr. Two-Brains" in WordGirl, "the Mayor" in both incarnations of The Powerpuff Girls, "Heffer" in Rocko's Modern Life andRocko's Modern Life: Static Cling, "Dog" in CatDog, and "Raimundo Pedrosa", "Grand Master Dashi", "Vlad, Klofange", and "Hannibal Roy Bean" in Xiaolin Showdown. He is part of a rock-and-roll band called Tom Kenny and The Hi-Seas.

Biography[edit]

Tom was born and raised in Syracuse, New York[2]. When he was a young child he loved to draw and collect record albums[3]. When he was in first grade he would meet Bobcat Goldthwait and the two would become lifelong friends.[3] When he was a teen he would see an add for an open-mic night at Skaneateles which featured comedian Barry Crimmins[4]. During his standup routines he would "Tom would get up there and talk about his therapist and he didn't even have a therapist, he just loved Woody Allen", according to Goldthwait.[5] He would go to a Catholic high school entitled "Bishop Grimes Junior/Senior High School"[6]. After college, he would perform stand-up comedy around the country for about eight years before he moved on to other venues.[7]
