"Stanley S. SquarePants" is the second segment of the twentieth episode of season 5, and it is paired with "Banned in Bikini Bottom." In this episode, SpongeBob's cousin Stanley comes to visit and causes trouble in his life.

Characters[edit]

Plot[edit]

SpongeBob gets the mail, which inside is his cousin, Stanley. He has a note from his father stating that he can't handle him anymore but SpongeBob might be able to do so. He starts playing around with SpongeBob's stuff, accidentally destroying them in the process. He learns that SpongeBob works at the Krusty Krab and wishes he had a job.

SpongeBob shows Stanley his friends, but none of their meetings work out well. At Patrick's house, Patrick asks Stanley what he's good at, and he says he's good at nothing. Patrick tries to see if he's good at nothing by demonstrating how to do it, but Stanley can't do it, so he sends them both out.

SpongeBob has to go to work now, so the two go to work together. Mr. Krabs sees Stanley and asks if he is a good worker, and he says yes after Stanley begs him, so he hires him. However, every time Stanley does something wrong and Mr. Krabs notices, SpongeBob takes the blame. SpongeBob tries to talk to Mr. Krabs about Stanley, but is too afraid to admit he lied to get Stanley the job.

Afterward, he finds out Stanley broke his spatula and gets extremely upset. When Mr. Krabs comes to the scene, he confesses that he's been covering for Stanley as he can't do anything right and destroys everything he touches. This gives Mr. Krabs the idea to send Stanley to the Chum Bucket as Plankton's employee. On his first day there, he accidentally explodes the restaurant.
