“Well, sorry, but some of us rather enjoy the Bikini Bottom Symphony Orchestra.”
Worker

"Suction Cup Symphony" is the second segment of the third episode of season 6, and it is paired with "Spongicus." In this episode, Squidward prepares a composition for the Bikini Bottom Symphony Orchestra.

Characters[edit]

Plot[edit]

SpongeBob is outside, planting flowers, when he sees some construction men building a billboard as Squidward is playing his clarinet. He tries to drown out the clarinet's noise so the construction team won't hear him.

However, Squidward gets annoyed by both SpongeBob and the construction workers, until he realizes they are building a billboard for the Bikini Bottom Symphony Orchestra and realizes this could be his chance to become famous.

He starts working on his composition, but panics when he realizes it's due tomorrow. SpongeBob and Patrick want to help, but Squidward refuses and throws them out of his house, causing Patrick's butt to break.

SpongeBob home doctors him, which annoys Squidward and makes him have trouble writing his composition. He eventually finishes and turns in his score, and later that night, he performs his piece. Unfortunately, he wrote down everything he heard, including SpongeBob's doctoring, which goes on during the entire symphony. When it's finished, everyone loves his performance and cheers for him.
