Plot

SpongeBob is playing with the animals at the Bikini Bottom Zoo. The zookeeper warns him that he could be injured while in the animal enclosures and installs an ankle alarm on SpongeBob, then kicks him out of the zoo. However, SpongeBob gets back in and elongates his leg to avoid triggering the alarm. The zookeeper catches him and bans him from the zoo, with Patrick leaving by choice. Later, SpongeBob cries on Patrick's rock over being banned. Patrick suggests he make his own zoo, and SpongeBob blows a snot bubble, giving him an idea.

Using extra-strength bubble soap, SpongeBob and Patrick create some zoo animals, and then build a bubble zoo around their houses. As SpongeBob feeds a bubble sea monster and gives the zoo patrons a tour, Squidward wakes up from a nap and walks outside, being eaten by the monster. After being let free and having a bubble goat eat his pants, he runs through the zoo in a panic and ends up in the exhibit of a bubble rhinoceros, getting his nose stuck on its horn. The rhino pops the entire zoo and the bubble animals rampage around town, invading the Krusty Krab and the Chum Bucket.

The bubble animals corner SpongeBob and Patrick near Squidward's house. SpongeBob yells loud enough for the real zoo animals to hear him, and the sight of a large real sea dino monster-like Godzilla scares the bubble animals away. SpongeBob is welcomed back into the Bikini Bottom Zoo after he lets the bubble animals move in, while Squidward is still stuck on the bubble rhino.
