"Dirty Bubble Returns" is the second segment of the eleventh episode of season 12, and it is paired with "Mind the Gap." In this episode, the Dirty Bubble is reformed as the Clean Bubble, but the grime in his new Krusty Krab cleaning job tempts him to go back to his old ways.

Plot[edit]
The Dirty Bubble has tied a police officer at the Bikini Bottom Power Plant, but when he tries to capture Perch Perkins next, he gets captured and sent to prison. When he comes out six months later, he has reformed into the Clean Bubble and has a new job as a dishwasher at the Krusty Krab.
He meets SpongeBob, who gets excited as they'll be working buddies, and the Clean Bubble nicknames himself DB. He washes the dishes afterwards, causing him to turn into the Dirty Bubble. When SpongeBob realizes this, he uses a sink hose to get rid of home, and realizes that the Clean Bubble is the clean version of the Dirty Bubble.
He is tasked to clean the toilets next, but once again becomes the Dirty Bubble as he's cleaning, but SpongeBob cleans him before he can do major damage. After several weeks of SpongeBob making sure the Dirty Bubble stayed clean, the Clean Bubble seems to have stopped becoming dirty.
However, when Patrick flicks bellybutton gunk away, it lands on the Clean Bubble and makes him dirty. He wreaks havoc across Bikini Bottom, until SpongeBob tries to stop him once more, but ends up getting captured inside him in the process.
As he's sucking up Goo Lagoon, SpongeBob ends up absorbing it as well as the Dirty Bubble in the process. After absorbing the Dirty Bubble, he burps out a mini one who gets captured by the police. Afterwards, SpongeBob sneezes, splattering goo all over the place.
