"Spot Returns" is the first segment of the second episode of season 11, and it is paired with "The Check-Up." In this episode, when Plankton's pet amoeba Spot gives birth to a litter of babies, Plankton trains them to get the secret formula.

Plot[edit]
Plankton searches for Spot so he can feed him a bone. When he comes, it turns out he had been giving him tons of treats, to the point where he became pregnant. Soon after, he gives birth to many amoeba children, making Karen go into cute overload due to how adorable they all are and go into rebooting. Plankton wants to vaporize them, but since he knows Karen wouldn't want that, he sells them with the help of SpongeBob at the Barg N' Mart.
At first his tactics for selling them fail due to him threatening the customers, so SpongeBob gets the idea to smash the puppies into bigger puppies so everyone knows what they look like. Many customers come and all the puppies are sold, only to return to Plankton with items from their owners. He sees their tactic of being able to take things to form another plan to steal the formula.
He brings SpongeBob along so the two can train the puppies, with him unaware of what Plankton's going to do. After awhile, they've all been trained with different abilities, and once he reveals them, SpongeBob realizes what this was all about. He traps them in a cage while the amoebas work together to steal the formula. To stop him, SpongeBob takes out one of his eyes and throws it at Karen, who is still rebooting, causing her to fall down.
As Plankton goes to see what happened to her, SpongeBob makes the puppies free him and allow him to take the formula back. Plankton tries to strike a deal, but he instead drops tons of treats on him, which the puppies eat, causing them to become so large they explode into an enormous amount of puppies, while the formula ends up with Mr. Krabs again.
