"The Donut of Shame" is the second segment of the tenth episode of season 5, and it is paired with "A Flea in Her Dome" and "The Krusty Plate." In this episode, Patrick takes a donut while SpongeBob is unaware, but gets anxious as he thinks he stole the donut.

Plot[edit]
Patrick wakes up after passing out during SpongeBob's party. He sees that SpongeBob has a donut in his hand, so he takes it and brings it to his house. As he's about to eat it, he realizes it's SpongeBob's delicious donut and spits it out.
An angel and devil donut consciousness appears beside Patrick. The angel donut tells him not to eat the donut while the devil donut tells him to eat it. Eventually, the devil donut makes a compromise: he tells Patrick to hook a chain to the donut, eat it, and then yank it out when SpongeBob wants it.
He does what they say, but when he takes out the chain, there's no donut in it and realizes he ate the donut, and spits it out. Right after, SpongeBob calls him to tell him he'll be coming over to watch a videotape of the whole party. Patrick gets scared as the tape will include him stealing his donut, so he tries to hide it.
However, none of the places he thinks of hiding it are any good, and once SpongeBob arrives, he hides it in the back of his pants. Right before he plays the tape, Patrick confesses to stealing his donut. It turns out the donut was for him as it was his birthday, and shows him the tape as proof. They share the donut, only for SpongeBob to get grossed out because of its taste.
